- PhoneBrasil and CityNet Wireless (Tacora
Inc.) Execute & Ink Agreement for First Large-Scale WiFi/Wimax in
Brazil Valued at $1.2 Billion
PhoneBrasil International, Inc. (Pink
Sheets: PHBR) and CityNet Wireless (Tacora Inc.) announce both parties
have now finalized, dually signed, and executed the agreement for the
first large-scale WiFi/Wimax Platform in Brazil http://00ec925.netsolhost.com/Tacora_PHBR.JPG.
Company spokesperson stated, "Our
European Director of Market Development, Richard Alain Granier, orchestrated
the negotiation and execution of the agreement by Anderson Dias, CEO of
PhoneBrasil, and Jeffrey Spence, CEO of CityNet Wireless (Tacora Inc.).
PHBR, who has already initiated governmental approvals, will be in charge
of all the administrative work, i.e. traffic of minutes and licensing
in Brazil. CityNet will be responsible for the platform/system and towers."
Anderson Dias stated, "The parties
will utilize their resources and efforts in designing, establishing and
managing a number of Wireless Broadband Service Networks in the form of
a wireless telecommunications company in the Federal Republic of Brazil.
CityNet Wireless (Tacora Inc.) manufactures and installs certain communications
systems and related antennas, routers, devices, programs, and equipment,
including systems and equipment that permit and facilitate wireless broadband
access to, and wireless broadband utilization of, the Internet."
The new WiFi/Wimax network will literally
cover most major metropolitan cities, areas, states, and territories of
Brazil. This new untapped technology will give both new subscribers, and
already existing PhoneBrasil customers, the ability to connect their computers,
laptops, VoIP networking devices, and Hybrid cellular dual-mode communication
interfaces anywhere, when this large-scale WiFi/Wimax platform is available.
